With over 25 years of experience in property management accounting, Sandra leads our accounting department ensuring that we provide our clients with accurate reporting on their assets. In addition, as the accounting lead, she is tasked with confirming the property management and accounting teams are in compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as compliant with management agreements.

Prior to joining the illi Commercial team, Sandra worked for Transwestern for 17 years in their western region accounting department; she joined their team as a senior accountant and ultimately reached the position of accounting supervisor. Overseeing a portfolio of 2.8 million square feet including office, retail, commercial and industrial assets, she was responsible for reviewing monthly financials to ensure accurate reporting as per GAAP approved guidelines and principles. During her tenure at Transwestern, she was also the principle point of contact for one of their Tier 1 client portfolios. She was tasked with onboarding new property assignments, establishing accounting property support schedules and recording disposition transactions for sold assets.

Sandra began her career in property management while working for The Merrill Companies, currently known as NewMark Merrill, as their accounts receivable specialist allowing her to gain knowledge of financial reporting for retail, multi-family residential, and industrial properties with varying ownerships and reporting requirements for receiverships, private ownership, and REO’s. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
